Big Glasses Consulting’s Commitment
Zero Carbon
We believe the planet’s changing climate is the greatest threat we face. With so many problems stemming from the climate crisis — human mortality and misery, loss of biodiversity, environmental injustice, mass immigration and global civil unrest, to name just a few — Big Glasses is deeply committed to being a regenerative company, giving more than it takes. For us, that means being net-zero and ultimately net-negative energy and emissions.
To that end, we offset 100 percent of its 2022 carbon emissions footprint. Our 2022 carbon footprint was small, coming entirely from remote office work. Using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Big Glasses reports under the equity share method. Our owned emissions (Scope 1) were 0.72 metric tonnes and our purchased emissions (Scope 2) were 0.53 metric tonnes, totaling 1.3 metric tonnes. Although we can’t claim adding onsite clean energy to the grid, Big Glasses chooses wind power provided by our utility as our electric energy source.
As we grow, we will continue to hone our efficiencies and offset our energy and greenhouse gas emissions. We will also work with our supply chain partners to do the same.
