Intangible

assets

are the next alpha.

We quantify them — putting a defensible dollar value on the assets that don't show on the balance sheet but move the multiple.

OUR THINKING AND STRATEGY

Ninety-two percent of the value of an S&P 500 company never shows up on its balance sheet.

That’s not drift. It’s an inversion. In 1975, tangible assets like factories, machinery, vehicles, buildings, the hardware of the Industrial Revolution accounted for 83% of S&P 500 market value. Intangibles were 17%. The 50 years since, those numbers have flipped almost exactly.

The accounting rules were built for the 19th and 20th centuries. Every deal you’re pricing today happens in the 21st.

In decades of work across high-performing asset classes, we’ve watched this play out transaction by transaction: the value is real, the buyer can feel it, but nobody can put a number on it that survives diligence. The problem was never whether the value existed. It was proving it.

So, we built the BEV Platform — a proprietary system that finds intangible assets, prices them, and documents them to a standard that holds up when someone comes at it.

Superior assets should command higher prices.

They usually don’t. Not because the market disagrees, but because nobody brought the receipts.

If 92% of enterprise value sits outside the balance sheet, and diligence only reaches the other 8%, you’re underwriting a fraction of what you’re buying.

We cover the rest.
